Relationships and Sex Education Consultation
From September 2020, it is a statutory requirement that all primary schools in England and Wales are teaching Relationships and Health Education (RHE), including Relationships and Sex Education (RSE), as a fundamental part of their curriculum.
All primary schools must complete a consultation process with their school community, including children, parents, carers and governors to ensure there is a general consensus on our approaches to the RSE policy and RSE curriculum content.
Newton Road School will be starting their consultation process on Wednesday 5th May; the consultation will close on Wednesday 19th May.
Parents, carers and governors, will be asked to read through the policy, including the long-term curriculum overview, and make comments on them.
